“I attempted to hit the audition circuit. Other than Full House, I didn’t have much else on my resume: a few commercials and a cameo on The Mickey Mouse Club with Justin Timberlake, Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera and Ryan Gosling. Sadly, none of them ever made anything of themselves. It’s really tragic, because they were so talented.”

Rude or not, I’m just going to say it; Stephanie Tanner did a LOT of drugs. Holy cow.

To be honest, I picked this book up hoping for lots of dirty, behind the scenes stories about what a gong show the Full House set was really like. Yes, there were a few of them, however, the book reads more like most other books by recovering drug addicts. It was obviously written by a ghost writer, and at times the strained relationship between them and Jodie is painfully obvious.

What were Jodie’s reasons for writing this book? Honestly, probably money. She states multiple times in the book that she would do ‘say no to drugs’ tours where she’d speak to auditoriums full of young people about the dangers of addiction, and she’d do them high, for the money. While I hope for her sake her life is indeed turned around now, and that she continues to get the help she needs to fight the good fight with addiction, I wouldn’t recommend reading this book. Not even if you were a huge Full House fan.

Until next time,
